THE MATH, MADE SIMPLE
What could you save?
Compare public fast charging with overnight charging at home, using your workday commute.
Use the price from your charging app. $0.60/kWh is an example, not a quoted Tesla or EVgo rate.
ESTIMATED ANNUAL ENERGY SAVINGS
Energy savings before installation costs.
See the assumptions behind this estimate
250 workdays per year; 0.30 kWh per mile at the battery; 90% home and 95% fast-charging efficiency. Home electricity uses SCE TOU-D-PRIME overnight rates of $0.26/kWh for four summer months and $0.30/kWh for eight winter months (about $0.287/kWh on average), checked October 4, 2026. Actual savings depend on your vehicle, utility, plan and charging prices. Your utility may be different. This excludes installation costs, public memberships and session fees, and changes in household electricity-plan charges. The estimate covers commute miles only.

GOOD TO KNOW
A little clarity
before we talk.
Do I need to own an EV already?
No. If you’re planning to buy one, we can discuss preparing your home before it arrives.
How much does installation cost?
Every home is different. The distance from the panel, wiring route, available electrical capacity, charger choice and permit requirements affect the price. A quote follows a review of your setup.
Will my electrical panel need an upgrade?
Not always. An installer needs to review panel capacity and your home’s electrical load. Load management may be an option, depending on the setup.
Is the $700 saving guaranteed?
No. It’s an illustrative energy comparison for a 30-mile round-trip commute across 250 workdays. Use the calculator to adjust the example; your actual rates and usage may differ.
What happens after I send the form?
